CGHMC and Pfizer jointly launches Virtual Library

In line with CGHMC’s mission to provide quality, up-to-date healthcare to our patients, CGHMC teamed up with Pfizer Philippines to establish the CGHMC-Pfizer Virtual Library at the 3rd floor of the MRI Building was formally opened last September 24, 2008. The affair was attended by Dr. James Dy, Dr. Teofilo Bangayan, Dr. Modesto Llamas, the members of the Virtual Library Committee headed by Dr. Josefino Qua and representatives from Pfizer. Dr. Zeny Malilay and Dr. Timmy Yu served as masters of ceremony.

Initially, five computers which provide online access to 41 full-text medical journals, 49 reference books, Med Line and M.D. Consult is free of charge for all CGHMC medical staff, house staff and allied health professionals. Wireless internet access is also available for those who prefer to use their own laptop computers.

The Virtual Library is a big boost to research or for management of problematic patients. Printing is also free of charge, up to 25 pages per day of your downloaded material or you can copy your files in CD’s or any storage device. If you forgot to bring your flash drive or CD, these are available from the library staff at cost.

There is also a conference room inside the library where meeting or discussion can be hold.

Operating hours are Mondays to Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
