Dr. James G. DY

 

Dr. James G. Dy is one of the most respected businessman and civic leader in the Philippines which earned him the honor as Special Envoy of the President for Medical Tourism due to Hon. Dy's philanthropic endeavors and contribution to the medical tourism industry.

Dr. Dy is a pioneer of the local music industry and is well known for spearheading numerous anti-piracy campaigns during his term as President of the Philippine Association of the Recording Industry (PARI) and the Chairman of Asean Music Industry Association (AMIA) for five consecutive years. He is the Chairman of the Board and President of Universal Records, Inc., which has a roster of prominent Filipino recording artists.

He is one of most awarded philanthropist in the country with a Ten Outstanding Filipino Award for Humanitarian Service. His countless charitable projects were accomplished through the Filipino-Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (FCGCCI); where he is the President Emeritus, and the Philippines Chinese Charitable Association, Inc. (PCCAI), where he is also the President. PCCAI is the owner and operator of the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center, The Chinese Cemetery, Home for the Aged, the CGH College of Nursing, the Charity Pavilion, and the Free Clinic at the PCCA Building in Binondo, Manila

Dr. Dy regularly heads and arranges medical and dental teams from the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) to provide free medical and dental treatment for the poor people in rural, urban poor, coastal and squatter areas throughout the country especially during typhoons and calamities.
